Late journalists paid glowing tributes

KARACHI, February 10,2005:Three late journalists, Ghulam Ali, MH Askari, and Nizam Siddiqui were paid glowing tributes for their services rendered in the field of journalism, at a condolence meeting held at the Karachi Press Club on Wednesday.

The meeting participants noted that all the three journalists had always served for freedom of expression while putting their true journalistic abilities in their stories and articles.

The speakers pointed out that the three journalists had different qualities in adapting different styles in journalism; for MH Askari and Nizam Siddiqui wrote analytically and Ghulam Ali won accolades as a crime reporter and produced startling investigative stories, but there was a common quality in all of them and that was their disposition towards younger journalists.

The speakers included: KPC President Sabihuddin Ghausi, Editor Awam Nazeer Leghari, Editor Urdu Takbeer Maqsood Yousufi, former KPC President, Habibuddin Ghori and KUJ President Mazhar Abbas.
