LAHORE – Waqt television of the Nawa-i-Waqt group is going to start its regular transmission from Tuesday (today) on the occasion of 132nd Birth Anniversary of Founder of Pakistan Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
The Waqt TV will telecast news, views and discussions on current affairs, economic, sports and showbiz news as well as elections news. Besides discussing important national issues, the channel will also telecast other programmes.
The highlights of Tuesday’s programmes are: ‘Current Affairs with Sajid Mir at 8 am, The Constitutional Crisis by Irshad Arif from 5 pm to 6 pm, special reports from Lahore and Karachi by Rashid Hijazi and Saeed Khawar at 6 pm and 7 pm respectively, while at 8 pm special programmes will be telecast to mark the birth anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Leaders of the political parties and notables of the society from all walks of life have declared the initiation of the regular transmission of the Waqt TV as an important landmark in the television transmissions of the country.
“Waqt TV will be a true voice of the present time, and it will give a balanced, healthier and impartial analyses besides portraying true emotions of the nation,” they said.
