Kuwaiti mobile firm plans investment in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD, June 06 2006: Kuwaiti mobile telecom company, MTC, has bought the remaining 61 percent shares of Sudan’s telecom company while it had expressed its intention to invest in Pakistan, Iran and Turkey. The Kuwaiti company had purchased these Sudanese telecom company’s shares for $1.33 billion. The company, which is fast expanding its area of operation, is also planning to invest in Pakistan, including some other countries in future, a private TV news channel reported.
