Kiran Tonali appointed PML coordinator women youth wing
PESHAWAR,February 24, 2005 The daughter of former provincial minister and renowned lawyer from Abbottabad, Ayub Tanoli (late), Kiran Tanoli was appointed as the coordinator women youth wing Hazara division of Pakistan Muslim League on Wednesday.
A notification to this effect has been issued from the party central secretariat Islamabad. Commenting on her appointment as the party divisional coordinator, Kiran Tanoli said that her utmost endeavour would be to organise the party in the division as well as at the provincial level. “We will start the organisation drive of the party, particularly of the women youth wing in the near future,” said Tanoli, who has recently joined the party.
She said that it was mainly the seven-point agenda of Gen. Pervez Musharraf that convinced the PML to side with the president and the support to the president was not for the attainment of power.
Tanoli said that it was for the first time in the history of Pakistan that women have been empowered and given the opportunity to play their positive and active role in the development of the country and have a say in the political affairs. It was up to the youth now to grab this opportunity and called upon the young and energetic generation to come forward and join hands with the party to implement the agenda of the president in letter and spirits.
She said that the active role of the party secretary general, Mushahid Hussain Sayed and the guidance of PML president, Ch. Shujaat Hussain, which inspired the youth and political workers of the party to give a new life to the party programme and its sober politics. They have always encouraged the youth to come forward and participate in the political and economic uplift of the country and that’s why year 2005 has been declared as the year of the youth.
While appreciating the interest and special concern shown by the Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and the PML-Q government in providing relief to the affectees of rain and snowfall related incidents, especially in Hazara division, Tanoli said the frequent visits of the premier to affected areas and announcement of grants and other measures for mitigation of the sufferings of the concerned people, have won the hearts of the people of this region.
