Karo-Kari claims three lives
KHAIRPUR: The menace of Karo-Kari claimed three lives in two villages here in the past 36 hours. A groom strangulated his bride to death in a village near here on their wedding night late Wednesday after declaring her Kari.
The News has learnt that groom Tarique Buladi strangulated to death his bride Sartaj Bibi in the village Ghao Shalla of Qamber on late Wednesday night. Both were cousins and it was an arranged marriage. Meanwhile, a man killed his wife and her alleged paramour over Karo-Kari in a village near Bhirya city. Din Muhammad Karehar allegedly axed to death his wife Zainab and later killed Rasool Bakhsh and fled.
