Karo-Kari claims four lives
NAWABSHAH: Four persons were killed over Karo-Kari in Nawabshah and Dera Murad Jamali on Sunday.
A woman and her paramour were killed in the village of Nihal Khan Sethar near Nawabshah on Sunday.
According to reports, Noor Muhammad Sethar killed his 19-year-old sister Moomal, daughter of Muhammad Umar, and her alleged paramour Umaid Ali, 20, with multiple strokes of a hatchet.
Police reached the scene of the incident on receiving information and arrested the accused.
They registered a case against him and started investigations.
Our Sukkur correspondent adds: Two persons, including a woman, were shot dead by unknown men over Karo-Kari in Wapda Colony, Dera Murad Jamali, on Sunday.
Reports said Karim Bukhsh Deenari suspected that his wife Imam Khatoon Deenari was maintaining illicit relations with Ellahi Bukhsh Jagirani. He killed both of them and fled.
On receiving information, police reached the scene and shifted the bodies to a local hospital for postmortem examination, but no case was registered.
