KARACHI (PPI) – Security was beefed up in Karachi and other parts of province after a suicide bomb blast outside Lahore High Court on Thursday.
According to senior officials, police and Rangers have been put on high alert in the metropolis besides intensifying mobile patrolling in high security zones.
The additional deployments of law-enforcement agencies’ personnel were made around Sindh High, City and District Courts to avoid any untoward incident.
A side of Shahra-e-Kamal Atatturk along Sindh Secretariat was closed for general public. However official traffic was allowed. entry. The security arrangements at residences of foreigners, their offices, multinational companies in high security zones and sensitive installations were tightened, while snap checking at all entry and exit points was carried out.
Meanwhile, Sindh governor Dr. Ishratul Ibad Khan and chief minister Justice (retd) Abdul Qadir Halepota condemned the Lahore High Court suicide bomb blast. They ordered authorities concerned to step up security in the province to avoid any untoward situation that may arise in the backdrop of LHC bomb blast.
