KARACHI (January 23 2008): A gang of armed dacoits barged into the house of a local journalist and looted gold ornaments, cash and other valuables in the jurisdiction of Korangi police station here on Tuesday night.
According to details, some armed men entered the house of journalist Rana Nawaz situated at Zaman Town, Korangi and held the inmates hostage at gun point and locked them in a room.
The robbers took away gold ornaments worth Rs 200,000, Rs 60,000 in cash, Rs 70,000 prize bonds, three mobile sets and other valuables. They also beat the elder brother of Rana Nawaz and when he resisted.
