KARACHI (December 13 2007): The Microsoft has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Zindagi Trust for setting up IT academies in government educational facilities to train teachers and students on latest Microsoft technologies and products. The signatories in the MoU were the President of the Trust, Shahzad Roy and Kamal Ahmed, Country Manager of Microsoft.

The event was attended by the City Nazim Karachi, Mustafa Kamal, Minister for Education Sindh, Shujaat Ali Baig and Secretary Education Sindh, Dr Chaudhry Muhammad Ali who support the vision of Microsoft and Zindagi Trust for IT education development in Pakistan.

The main purpose of the MoU between the Microsoft and Zindagi Trust is to achieve the objective of developing IT education in Pakistan and to work for the under-served community to enable them to realise their full potential. ‘I truly believe that this is the start of a new day in the lives of the under-served people of Pakistan”, Kamal said.
