KARACHI: A youth killed his mother on suspicion of bad character in the limits of Bahadurabad Police Station on Wednesday.
As per report, deceased Halima (45), a resident of Katachiabadi Sherpao Colony was taken to the Liaquat National Hospital in critical condition but succumbed to her injures.
Accused Adnan, told the police that his father had divorced Halima due to her illicit relations with other men. “When 1 found my mother guilty, 1 killed her because this was a ‘’matter of honour for me,” he confessed.
The accused opened indiscriminate firing on his mother and managed to escape from the spot while the residents of the area shifted her to the hospital where succumbed to her injuries. Later, the police arrested accused Adnan from Awami Markaz and registered a case against him.
DOCTOR SHOT DEAD, 2 OTHERS WOUNDED
One person shot dead while two others sustained critical injuries over a domestic clash in the limits of Sohrab Goth Police Station on Wednesday.
Reportedly, Dr. Abdul Khabir (60) was present at his private clinic at Hassan Naumon Colony, jannat Gul Town when a man called him out. As soon as Khabir came outside along with his nephew Mateen and assistant Hashmatullah, the assailant opened fire injuring them seriously and escaped from the scene.
They were rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital Khabir succumbed to his injuries. The police were unable to ascertain the cause behind the incident but registered a case against the absconding criminal.
