Judge summons President PUJ on April 5
LAHORE: An inquiry judge of Anti Terrorism Court, Lahore, Masood Arshad here on Saturday summoned president Punjab Union of Journalists (PUJ), deputy medical superintendent Jinnah Hospital and family of a deceased woman who died due to alleged negligence of doctors.
The judge summoned them on April 5 (Monday) in connection with a judicial inquiry ordered by Punjab government to probe the incident of alleged torture of doctors on journalists in Jinnah Hospital. PUJ and Lahore Press Club, however, have rejected the judicial inquiry and demanded Chief Justice Pakistan to take suo motu notice of the incident and appoint a judge of LHC as inquiry judge.
