Journalist injured in roadside blast

LANDIKOTAL: A tribal journalist was slightly injured and a vehicle of a Khasadar officer was damaged in a roadside bomb explosion on Thursday. In a remote-controlled IED blast in Sadukhel area of Landikotal, journalist Sudhir Ahmad Afridi was slightly injured on his left leg whereas the vehicle of Khyber Khasadar Force Subedar Harkala Khan was badly damaged.

Two other persons were also injured in a passenger vehicle, which was behind the car of the KKF subedar. Soon after the blast, administration officials and security forces rushed to the spot and collected evidence. Reportedly, some suspects were also arrested under territorial responsibility clause of the Frontier Crimes Regulation; however, it could not be confirmed. Relatives, colleagues, friends and media persons called the Afridi to enquire about his health, and also regretted the incident.
