It Project to create More than 10,000 jobs

ISLAMABAD- A multi-million dollars IT enabled services project by the Resources Group (TRG) would help create more than 10,000 jobs in the country.

The project is being launched soon by an expatriate Pakistani, Zia Chistie to outsource the fast Growing IT enabled services, officials sources said.

The sources said that Pakistan software export board (PSEB) has played a key role in facilitating the TRG to invest in the country.

In view of the great employment potential, the PSEB played a key role to facilitate the TRG venture that has mainly focused on call centres business for operating in Pakistan.

The project would create more than 10,000 jobs for the English proficient youth of the country, the sources added.

They said Zia chistie is cofounder of Align technology (manufactures of invisalign system, a nearly Invisible alternative to orthodontic braces) that is the biggest foreign IT investment in Pakistan.

The main focus of TRG venture is presently only on the call centres business that is one of the important components of IT enabled services that also included data entry and medical and legal transcription services.

Align Technology has so far worked on call centres for dental and medical products but they have decided to work on other specialized fields as well.

The TRG management already has an extensive experience in the call center business.

The TRG also plans to launch programming to enhance the English proficiency of youth by setting up specialized language labs.

The PSEB is exploring the Middle East, European, China, Japan and African markets for promotion of local software export instead of concentrating only on the traditional North American continent.

The sources said Pakistan provides world class IT infrastructure with an English language and IT proficient young population at the most competitive rates in the region.
