Information Ministry also responsible for not telecasting cricket match on PTV: President Geo TV says
Islamabad, Nov 30 (Sports Reporter): President Geo TV Imran Asalm has held responsible officials authorized for giving Up Link, for not telecasting first cricket match through PTV played at Lahore between Pakistan and New Zealand.
He said there was also a role of Information Ministry and added how Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA), PTV and Information Ministry could be judge in their own case.
“We know President Pervez Musharraf, Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Jamali and Shaikh Rashid Ahmed do not want to make any decision harming to privatization process”, he said.
“There are some senior officials in Information Ministry who think it was birth right of PTV to telecast cricket matches, he added.
