Influential ‘rapists’ still at large
CHUNIAN: A labourer of Arzanipur, Chunian has alleged that two influential persons namely Pervaiz and Yousaf Jutt who allegedly raped his daughter are not being arrested by the Elahabad police. Yousaf said that the accused had kidnapped and raped his daughter on gunpoint about 10 days ago. They kept the girl in custody for many days and committed gang rape.
Police later recovered the girl from their custody and registered an FIR but have failed to arrest any of the accused. Yousaf said that the police have connived with the “rapists” and are not interested in arresting them. He said that the accused are continuously threatening him and asking him to stop pursuing the case. “If the police do not arrest them, I will commit suicide in front of IGP Office. When asked, the Elahabad police said that they were doing all efforts to arrest the alleged rapists.
