Impact of television on children
Sir: Children love watching cartoons. For them, they are a source of entertainment. But cartoons unknowingly show plenty of violent content that may affect the tender hearts of our children, which would leave an ever-lasting impact.
The idea of cartoons is good but some cartoons show negative images. Children learn language, dialogues, actions, etc, from cartoon shows. For instance, the killing of monsters and other such characters leaves absurd thoughts in the minds of the young. Sometimes foul language is also used and children latch onto such words immediately. Parents should switch their child’s interest from watching TV to reading books.
