Girl school destroyed

KHAR: Another girls’ school was blown up by militants in Nawagai area of Bajaur tribal region on Thursday.

According to political administration officials a group of suspected militants came to government primary school Doda village in Nawgai tehsil and held the watchman at gunpoint. They tied his hands and planted explosives at the school.

They later let the watchman flee and detonated the explosives destroying all the rooms of the building. The record and furniture of the school was also destroyed completely. No group has claimed responsibility for the subversive act.

The number of destroyed schools in Bajaur has reached 77. The political administration has launched crackdown against local tribal people under the collective responsibility act of the FCR with no positive result.
