Geo TV offers deep regrets to SC on NICL ads
KARACHI: Geo TV network has become the first channel in the country to offer a public apology to the Supreme Court of Pakistan for airing advertisements about the NICL case in which some accused had offered their defence.
An announcement said: “The Geo management has expressed deep regrets for inadvertently allowing an advertisement related to the NICL case to be broadcast on Geo TV. This advertisement was broadcast on other channels as well. However, the management has decided to immediately put a stop to any further telecast of this or any similar advertisement.
The advertisement was broadcast through an error that is regretted. As always, Geo stands by its unflinching and abiding commitment to uphold the respect and honour of the independent judiciary for which the whole nation has struggled for so long and sacrificed so much.”
