Geo TV bags four awards in LSA
Karachi: Geo TV Network has won four awards in different categories of the entertainment industry at the Lux Style Awards 2011.
Umaira Ahmed secured the Best TV Writer award for ‘Meri Zaat Zara Benishan’, the Best Actor award went to Faisal Qureshi for ‘Meri Zaat Zara Benishan’, Bushra Ansari won the Best Actress award for “Dolly Ki Ayegi Baraat”, while “Bol Meri Machli” won the Best Drama Serial award.
The Lux Style Awards 2011 were held at the Expo Center. There were 10 fashion categories at Lux Style Awards 2011 and many others of television and music that were awarded during Lux Style Awards Ceremony 2011. Besides Pakistani fashion designers, fashion models, stylists and photographers there were Pakistani singers, artists, directors and writers too who were appreciated at Awards Ceremony of Lux Style Awards 2011.
The show was hosted by many celebrities, acting as presenters, including television personalities like BNN Boys and “Bol” fame girl Mahira Khan. The show commenced with the national anthem. Designer Hassan Shehryar Yasin (HSY) and film star and director Reema danced to a number from her latest film, Love Mein Gum.
One of the highlights of the evening early in the show, they were joined by other celebrities too, including Aaminah Haque and Ammar Belal, who walked out on a ramp in the middle. Meera and Ahsan performed on “Main Hote Moorne”, Muhib Mirza and Aamna Shiekh danced on “Teray Bin Mera Jeewan” and Ahsan Khan and Mateera performed on” Wado Kero Sajnaa”. All of these dances were choreographed by Pappu Samrat. The LSAs this year also paid tribute to legendary actor Moin Akhtar who passed away recently. Senior journalist and President Geo TV Imran Aslam and television personality Sahira Kazmi presented it.
