Four Punjab secretaries made OSDs
LAHORE: In a major reshuffle, four administrative secretaries have been made officers on special duty (OSDs) while four OSDs have been appointed as secretaries. This is the first major reshuffle since Chief Secretary Nasir Mahmood Khosa assumed office.
According to a notification issued on Monday, Special Secretary Home Mian Nazir Ahmed, Population Secretary Tahir Raza Naqvi, Sports Secretary Rao Iftikhar Ahmed have been directed to report to the S&GAD. Transport Secretary Shahzad Ahmed Cheema has also been made an OSD. However, his services have been placed at the disposal of the federal government.
Meanwhile, Shaukat Ali, OSD, has been posted as special secretary home, Mohammed Yousaf, OSD, as transport secretary, Saeed Ahmed, OSD, sports secretary, and Amer Asharf Khawaja as tourism secretary. DG Katchi Abadis Ejaz Ahmed has been transferred and posted as the population secretary.
Besides, additional charge of the post of the population secretary has been taken from Tariq Feroze, Secretary Social Welfare. The additional charge of the post of Faisalabad CPO has been given to Muhammad Tahir, RPO Faisalabad, until further orders.
