=> Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting,
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Nisar A Memon, presented a cheque worth Rs1 million funds to the Karachi Press Club (KPC) and ensured all-out support to the media for their facilitation.
He presented the cheque to the KPC office-bearers on Tuesday and met a delegation of the KPC headed by its President Sabihuddin Ghousi, who was accompanied by Secretary Imtiaz Khan Faran and others.
The delegation briefed the minister about various issues faced by the journalists based in Karachi. The care-taker minister assured that steps be taken to resolve media-related issues to provide conducive environment for free, fair and transparent elections.
He also informed the delegation that some of the issues have already been resolved and hoped that others would be resolved soon through dialogue between the media and government officials.
