Fazlullah’s family ‘arrested’
ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Saturday said the family of Mullah Fazlullah had been nabbed and they were being treated in a respectable manner and not being manhandled.
Talking to a private news channel, the interior minister said the extremists were not Taliban; instead they are Zaliman (oppressors) and an absolute crackdown will be launched against them and they would not be spared any chance at all to rally again.
Mr Malik said Afghan soil was being utilised for terror purposes and Islamabad would raise the issue at every forum. “I have called upon my Afghan counterpart to stem cross-border interference.”
Mr Malik said a decision regarding making religious education compulsory had been taken up and a “Madressah regulatory authority” would be set up for implementing the proposal.
