Extortionist ‘media man’
HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad press club handed over to police on Monday a so called reporter/cameraman of a private TV channel for extorting Rs16,000 from a woman who wanted to address a press conference at the club.
The accused who lives in the same neighbourhood as the woman made her to pay him Rs16,000 and assured her that the press conference would be covered by the entire
electronic and print media.
Police are reported to have found Rs12,000 in the pocket of the reporter. This amount was to he allegedly distributed among other reporters.
