Court annuls marriage
GUJRANWALA: The sessions court here on Wednesday declared the marriage of a Christian girl invalid and sent her to Darul Amaan, besides ordering the police to arrest her paramour.
In a petition, a Christian woman, Irshad Bibi of Kot Paroya, said Nobel Masih had allegedly abducted her daughter Asia. She said although the Ahmadnagar police had registered a case yet they were delaying the recovery of the abductee. Following the petition, the court had summoned the police and ordered them to recover the abductee and her paramour. On this, the police recovered them from Karachi and produced them before the court on Wednesday.
The girl told the court that Nobel Masih had not abducted her. She said she had contracted a marriage with Nobel Masih.
The girl’s mother pointed out that the girl was a minor. The court, there upon, declared the marriage invalid and ordered the police to arrest Nobel Masih. The police have arrested the accused.
