Couple seeks govt help in recovering widow daughter

PESHAWAR: The parents of a young widow has appealed to the government to help them in recovering their daughter from the captivity of her in-laws.

Speaking at a press conference here on Tuesday, Yasin Abbas said that a few months ago his daughter Ambareen Abbas, 17, was married to Ali Raza.

He said the parents of Ali Raza at that time kept them ignorant that their son had already been married.

According to Abbas, soon after the marriage, a dispute developed between Ali Raza and his family and one day he was found dead in his home.

He denied their role in the murder of Ali Raza and said they wanted their daughter to return home.

He further said the family of Ali has hypnotised their daughter Ambreen, who considered her parents as killers of her husband.

They have made Ambreen a psychological patient, and she needs proper treatment, he explained.

Yasin Abbas and his wife demanded of the government to help them in recovering their daughter from the captivity of her in-laws, who, according to them, were using her for their own motives and forcing her to register a case of murder against her parents.
