Chiniot rape case: taxi driver nabbed
CHINIOT, July 13 2005: The Sadar police on July 12 recovered a taxi used in the abduction of gang rape victim Fauzia and arrested its driver.
Reportedly, the taxi driver, Mumtaz alias Bola, confessed to helping the accused in the abduction of Fauzia. The accused party backed by hired criminals had used horses to kidnap Fauzia and later they took her to a farmhouse in the taxi where they gang-raped her for two days.
Meanwhile, the police have obtained a three-day physical remand of the main accused – Anwar and Tanveer – from the Faisalabad Anti-Terrorism Court judge.
