Changa Manga Press Club elections held
Changa Manga – Malik Sharif Arshad has been elected as president of the Changa Manga Press Club for the second time while Mian Shafiq Ahmed has been elected as general secretary. Public and social circles, business organizations, lawyers and journalists have congratulated the newly-elected officials. The office-bearers who were elected are; Malik Sharif Arshad as President, Ashraf Qadri as Senior Vice President, Naveed Anjum Bhatti as Vice President, Mian Shafiq Ahmed as General Secretary, Muhammad Omar Rizvi as Joint Secretary, Matin Kayani as Finance Secretary.
Zulfiqar Dogar as Broadcasting Secretary, Tahir Asghar Ansari as Office Secretary, Rana Hasnain as Spokesperson and Muhammad Azeem was elected as legal adviser.
With mutual consultations, a five-member action committee comprising Rana Ilyas Khan, Munir Khan Saqi, Raja Nabeel Kayani, Rana Fazal Rasool and Haji Abid Hussain Nagy was formed. The members of this committee will have the power to remove president and general secretary over poor performance.
In addition, dozens of journalists will perform their journalistic duties as members of the Press Club. Public social circles, business organizations, lawyers and journalists have congratulated the newly-elected office-bearers and expressed hope that all journalists of Changa Manga Press Club, maintaining their traditions, will work for welfare of journalists, highlighting public issues and getting them resolved.
