Cellular franchises threaten strike

QUETTA – All Balochistan Cellular Franchise Association while strongly protesting against growing incidents of dacoities has warned that if government did not take serious action against criminals involved in robbery and street crimes it would resort to massive protest in the province.

Addressing a press conference at Quetta press club on Sunday, the president of Association Noorullah Kakar strongly condemned incident of robbery at office of cellular phone company on Fatima Jinnah Road in which robbers had looted Rs 1.5 million, mobile sets, laptops and scratch cards.

He said that they had got registered an FIR against accused persons but after lapse of four days still the culprits were not arrested while police were also not taking serious steps in this regard. “Incidents of robbery and looting of shops also occurred in the past also but accused involved in these incidents could not be arrested,” he claimed.

Noorullah Kakar said that deteriorating law and order had increased the difficulties of business community. He demanded of the government to ensure the security of people and take stern action against dacoits. He warned that if govt did not arrest culprits they would launch a massive protest movement.
