Cell phones cos directed for registration of towers sites
KARACHI(APP)-Town Nazim, Gulshan-e-lqbal Wasey Jaleel Sunday directed the different private cellular phone companies to get registration of sites in the town to install their towers. He was presiding over a meetÂing of the representatives of different cell-phone companies providing cellular services in the country, here, said a statement.
Town Nazim directed the companies to submit the lists of registered and unregistered sites by February 15.
Speaking at the meeting, Muhammad Wasey also said the installation of any B.T.0 tower will not be allowed without. “No Objection Certificate (NOC)” from the town administration.
Those sites, which he said have been allowed registration by Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA) should also obtain verification from the town with proper documentaition.
He also advised the companies that in case of delay in the registration or if their matter was not given heed they should contact the town administration.
The meeting decided that the companies will be bound to complete the documentation within 15 days for registration of sites for the tower otherwise the case will be rejected.
Among other notables, TMO Shafiq-ur-Rehman, TO Mubin Siddiqi, Town Building Controller Sultan Muhammad Zubeiri, DCB Irntiaz Ahmed Yazdani were present while S.M. Suhail, Khawaja Chulam Raza, Syed Abbas Ali, Ghazanfar Hussain, Haider Jaffery and Muhammad Irfan represented the mobile phone companies.
