CDGK to establish IT institute

Karachi: City District Government Karachi (CDGK) will establish the City Information Technology (IT) Institute where employees of the city government, their children and common citizens will be provided with the opportunity to get quality training.

This was stated by Executive District Officer (EDO) IT, Mushtaq Hussain Rizvi while speaking at the certificate distribution ceremony of computer training courses held in the Training Lab of IT Department.

Director Training, Muhammad Fakharuddin and other officers of IT the Department were also present on this occasion.

Addressing the participants of the course, the EDO IT said that city government has decided to hasten plans to establish a first of its kind City IT Institute in Karachi. “Practical measures will be taken soon in this regard as this institute would fulfill the need for a modern information technology institute in the city,” he said.

EDO Mushtaq Hussain Rizvi said that information technology is the need of the hour. City Government Karachi had started basic and advance computer training courses for its employees in the IT Training Center and this process has proved beneficial for the organisation.

He said that the present IT Training Centre at the Civic Center would also be equipped with the latest computers and other necessary equipment. On this occasion, he said to the participants of the training courses to use this opportunity and enhancing their capabilities as an employee of city government as well as carry on the process of learning.

The EDO IT also praised the performance of the Director Training Muhammad Fakharuddin and supporting staff ADO Abdul Aziz, Aamir Raza, Instructors Bilal Ahmed, Yaseen Samoon and Iqbal Aziz. To conclude, the EDO IT gave away training certificates to the participants of 40th Office Automation Course and 4th Basic Web Designing Course.
