CD, other shops blown up in Mansehra
MANSEHRA: An explosive device planted near a CD shop blew up six shops in Barkund area of the city on Tuesday morning.
Three persons, including the owner of a barbershop, were buried under the rubbles. Local people pulled them out safely.
The explosion was so powerful that it was heard in far away areas. People rushed to the devastated site and took part in rescue work. The CD shop was destroyed completely while five adjacent general stores, barber shops and a book store were damaged extensively.
Sajjad Ahmad, the owner of CD shop, told Dawn that some four months ago he along with other CD shop owners had shut their business after receiving threats. However, on the eve of Eidul Fitr they reopened the businesses.
