Ban on newspapers condemned
MIRPURKHAS- The journalists of Mirpurkhas have strongly condemned the ban on daily Kainat and Janbaz, two Karachi-based newspapers. The newsmen took out a protest rally against the Sindh government’s action against the dailies and termed it strangulation of the truth. Newsmen wore black bands and hoisted black flags at the press club building. Earlier addressing the protest rally the journalists’ representatives demanded of the government to restore the publication of both the papers and vowed that the press will never bow to the government’s draconian action against the freedom of the press. Heavy police contingent was deployed outside the press club.
