By Amanullah Kasi

QUETTA: Provincial Minister for Agriculture Mir Asad Baloch walked out of the assembly on Monday when Speaker Mohammad Aslam Bhootani did not allow him to pinpoint elements behind the kidnapping of missing people.

Mir Asad Baloch of the Balochistan National Party (Awami) said that the issue of missing people had assured serious proportions because, he alleged, three people had been kidnapped by security forces in Panjgur on Aug 15.

He said that use of force was not the right way to resolve the Balochistan issue, adding that the quarters concerned must learn lessons from history and remember that East Pakistan was seceded because of state violence.

He walked out when the chair did not allow him to complete his speech. Later, Ministers Sadiq Umrani and Ismail Gujar brought him back to the house.

Ministers Sardar Aslam Bizenjo, Zamarak Khan Piralizai, Abdul Khaliq Achakzai, Tariq Masuri and Jay Parkash expressed resentment over 24 hours of load-shedding in rural areas of the province.

The speaker said he would take up the loadshedding issue with Wapda officials.
