Babar asks opposition to behave during president’s speech

LAHORE: Federal Law Minister Babar Awan is expecting that the Opposition will not repeat the actions of the 90s during the speech of President Asif Ali Zardari.

Talking to the media at a wedding ceremony here on Sunday, he said President Asif Ali Zardari was going to deliver his speech to the joint session of the parliament on March 22 and hoped that past ëactionsí would not be repeated.

However, to a question about the protest of the PPP in Punjab Assembly, Awan said it was the right of the political parties and termed the protest as a parliamentary tradition. To another question, he said that demonstrations should not be staged in favour or against the decisions of the courts. He said political parties should follow their political agendas and avoid horse-trading in or out of the House.
