Ansar Burney receiving life threats
KARACHI: The United Nation’s former expert adviser on human rights and Chairman of The Ansar Burney Trust International, Ansar Burney, is receiving life threats in Pakistan.
He said, “Threats or any dirty act as it was also in the past, cannot stop me from my noble cause for peace, human rights, anti-human trafficking drive, anti-slavery and human dignity,” says a press release on Sunday.
“Earlier, there were so many threats and attacks on me and on my family’s life to stop me from practical work for human dignity and peace in the region but these killers of humanity failed to stop me from my noble mission.” he added.
Burney said that on Friday and Saturday he received several threatening calls from three different mobile numbers and he informed the concerned federal and provincial departments for action.
