Another petition against harassment of journalists filed
ISLAMABAD: Another constitutional petition was filed in the Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday against incidents of harassment and intimidation of journalists.
Filed under Article 184(3) of the Constitution by Shakil Ahmed Turabi, a journalist, the petition seeks a court order for the executive authorities regarding prevention of untoward incidents against journalists and provision of a protective and congenial working environment. Federation of Pakistan through interior secretary, information ministry, all heads of the intelligence agencies, provincial home secretaries and the principal information officer have been made respondents in the petition. Turabi has moved the SC through his counsel Muhammad Ikram Chaudhry.
