Ahsan Khan on his upcoming period drama, Aangan
One of the most anticipated TV projects of 2018, the upcoming period drama Aangan is soon to hit the small screen. With a star cast including Ahsan Khan, Ahad Raza Mir, Sajal Aly, Mawra Hocane and Sonya Hussyn, among others, the play looks promising.
We got in touch with Ahsan Khan, who is currently shooting for the project, to find out more about the play and his character.
“Aangan will not be anything like you have seen before on Pakistani television ever,” he told Instep. “It is an experimental play as it is being shot in a very unique way. The shooting, particularly the angles, the shots, haven’t been seen before. People are thoroughly going to enjoy it.”
Speaking of the characters and their connection in the play, Ahsan informed that more than pairing with one another, they are connected in a very different way. “If people are expecting that we will have lot of love hidden in it, then they should expect much more than just a love angle,” he added.
Aangan is being directed by Mohammad Ehteshamuddin, who also directed Udaari that tackled the issue of child abuse and featured Ahsan Khan as a child molester. The upcoming project has created a lot of hype ever since it was first announced and promises to be something completely out of the box.
