Agreement for Health insurance card for journalists, artists signed
ISLAMABAD: Health Insurance Card (HIC) agreement for journalists, media workers, artists affiliated with the film industry, and technical staff has been signed in collaboration with the ministry of Information and Broadcasting and state life insurance.
Journalists, media workers and those affiliated with the film industry will benefit from it.
Addressing a ceremony here information minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said the implementation of the historical decision of the Prime Minister (PM) has started.
Under the directives of the PM, one billion rupees have been allocated for journalists and one billion for artists in the current budget. Its registration process started a week before. We will sign an MOU with state life.
Health Insurance cards will be issued to journalists and artists under the health care insurance scheme founded by PM.
She held a health card is included in the current budget. The privileges and salaries of journalists have been linked to the government in the legislation that has been made therein.
Cards will be provided to journalists and artists through health insurance which will be helpful for outpatient, cardiac surgery, and other health-related problems.
A health card scheme has also been launched for media workers for the sake of their security.
