26 LHC judges take oath
LAHORE: NEWLY appointed 11 additional and 15 sitting judges of the Lahore High Court, after being confirmed, took oath of their offices during a ceremony held at Punjab Judicial Academy here on Thursday.
Lahore High Court Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry administered the oath to the judges in the presence of senior lawyers, law officers and family members of the judges.
The 15 additional judges who took oath as confirmed judges were Justice Nasir Saeed Sheikh, Justice Sheikh Najamul Hassan, Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik, Justice Sardar Tariq Masood, Justice Ijazul Ahsan, Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice Sheikh Ahmad Farooq, Justice Ch. Shahid Saeed, Justice Rauf Ahmad Sheikh, Justice Ijaz Ahmad, Justice Muhammad Khalid Mehmood Khan, Justice Shahid Hameed Dar, Justice Muhammad Anwarul Haq, Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan, and Justice Mazhar Iqbal Sidhu.
Those who took oath as additional judges were Justice Syed Kazim Raza Shamsi, Justice Abdul Waheed Khan, Justice Iftikhar Hussain Shah, Justice Abdus Sattar Asghar, Justice Ch. Muhammad Younas, Justice Mehmood Maqbool Bajwa, Justice Syed Ijaz Hussain Shah, Justice Ameenuddin Khan, Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti, Justice Altaf Ibrahim Qureshi, and Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan.
