‘Strategy to promote IT under way’
KARACHI: The Information Technology (IT) department is carrying out an effective strategy for the promotion of IT in the province to create employment opportunities for the educated youth, said Sindh IT Advisor Noman Saigol.He noted that special focus was being paid to Research and Development (R & D) in the IT Sector. The government is endeavouring to develop all big cities of the province into ‘IT hubs’ with the cooperation of all large companies of the country, he added.Saigol said that the department was planning this in coordination with the internationally acclaimed Pakistani IT companies. Regarding his recent visit to Lahore, Saigol said that during his meeting, Net Sole expressed its deep interest in working with the government in the R & D field.
