Woman shot dead by husband

KARACHI: A woman was shot dead by her husband, while two others were killed in separate incidents of violence in the city.
According to the details, 22-year-old Nasra, wife of Shahbaz, was found dead at her house located in Yousuf Goth, within the jurisdiction of Sarjani police station. Police officials believe that the deceased was shot by her husband over a domestic dispute.
The accused is a criminal, who, three months ago, was released from prison. The deceased was said to be a mother of two children. No case was registered till the time this report was filed.
In another incident, a youth, Irfan, alias Irfan Mullah, 28, was shot dead while his friend, Javed, 22, was wounded when at least four unidentified men targeted and opened fire on them near the Jamia Clothe Market, MA Jinnah Raod, within the jurisdiction of Risala police station. Police officials said that Mullah’s father is the Pesh Imam in the mosque located in the area; they believed that the incident happened because of an old enmity.
Meanwhile, Ghulam Haider, 38, an accountant of a carpet shop located in Block 13-D, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, within the jurisdiction of Aziz Bhatti police station, was killed when two armed men entered the shop and shot the deceased when he put up resistance.
