Woman gang-raped in Pakpattan

PAKPATTAN, May 14 2006: A woman was allegedly gang-raped and a girl was raped in separate incidents here. ‘N’, daughter of Muhammad Iqbal, left for her parent’s house after she had a fight with her husband in Chak 32-SP. On the way, eight men, identified as Mustafa, Mushtaq, Nazeer Ahmed, Ramzan, Mirza, Malangi, Nazeer, Sarfraz, took her to a nearby canal bank and gang-raped her.

Later, they took her to a private clinic in a critical condition, from where she escaped and returned home. The woman has lodged a case against the accused. In a separate incident, a man allegedly raped a girl at her home in Chak 54-EB. Muhammad Shafique entered the house of Muhammad Bashir and raped his daughter when she was alone. Shafique escaped when the girl’s family members arrived home.

The police have registered a case and are investigating. Meanwhile, two men kidnapped a woman and her son from their home in Chak Tibba Nanak Sar. After Muhammad Hanif had gone to his fields, Allah Ditta and Muhammad Aslam entered his house and kidnapped his wife and a minor son. The police have registered a case.
