Woman arrested for cop’s murder
Karachi- Investigators arrested a woman suspected of being involved in the murder of a police constable whose body was found from a car in Saudabad on Wednesday night.
The police said that 28-year-old Constable Fida Hussain, and Constable Qasim, posted at the Model Colony police station were patrolling on a motorcycle when they spotted two men and a woman in a Suzuki Alto (ANS-370), driving around in a suspicious manner in the Model Colony police jurisdiction.
They were signalled to stop and the occupants of the car promptly complied. During a search of the vehicle, they recovered a TT pistol from one of the suspects. Constable Fida Hussain sat in the vehicle, while Qasim followed them to the police station. However, the suspects kidnapped the cop and fled. Later, his body was found dumped in the car parked in the Saudabad police area.
Superintendent of Police Abdullah Sheikh of Bin Qasim Town said that during the course of investigation they arrested a woman, Aisha Nazim, who owned the car and was present when the incident occurred. Raids were carried out for the arrest of her accomplices. Further probe is on.
