Wage Board chief meets All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS), Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) representatives
ISLAMABAD- The chairman of the 7th Wage Board, Justice Raja Afrasiab Khan, held a meeting with the representatives of the newspapers publishers and editors.
The joint meeting was attended by the minister for labor, manpower and local bodies, Omar Asghar Khan, Information Secretary Syed Anwar Mahmood and Principal Information Officer Ashfaq Gondal from the government side.
It was also attended by All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) Chairman Hameed Haroon, Secretary-General Kazi Asad Abid. Fasih Iabal, Arshad Zubairi, Mujeebur Rehman Shami and Arif Nizami of the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE).
The tripartite meeting discussed recommendations, emoluments and award for the newspapers employees.
The APNS assured that they would work for arriving at a mutually acceptable agreement.
The chairman Wage Board will also hold a meeting with representatives of newspapers employees.
