UK Sky platform for Pak-based broadcasters formed

KARACHI, November 12 2005: Broadcast Facilities Management Limited (BFM) has announced the formation of the first UK Sky platform for Pakistan-based broadcasters.

From its media centre base in White City, west London, the BFM provides all administrative, technical and production facility requirements for the bouquet’s TV channels.

All channels will be broadcast in Europe via the BskyB satellite TV system and available to all Sky users via a simple single channel access, which provides the entry to a bouquet of channels, clustered under a single brand.

The bouquet is uniquely branded and arranged to provide a one-stop shop for viewers to Muslim styled broadcasting.

The bouquet is free to air where broadcasters can expect to receive revenues from local advertising. Within the bouquet – subscriptions to channels and individual programmes can be provided.

The BFM media centre provides dedicated 24 x 365 playout, studios, editing services and assists clients with satellite uplinks, channel turnaround, transmission capacity on a choice of satellites for UK, Europe, USA and Canadian re-transmission.
