Two killed in the name of honour
DIR, July 18 2006: Two persons, including a woman, apparently fell prey to the honour killing late on Sunday night as the husband of the deceased woman gunned down a man after slitting the throat of his wife in Nawo village of the Dir Upper district. Police sources told The News that Bakht Rawan slaughtered his wife with a dagger and then approached Badshah Zada and opened indiscriminate fire leaving him seriously wounded. Badshah later succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital. Police claimed having got the statement of the deceased. The deceased held Rawan responsible for shooting him, police said.
