Sri Lankan journalist
THE letter ‘Tribute to Srilankan journalist’ (Jan 11) brought back the memories of the painful death of a brave journalist who was killed in cold blood last year in January. I remember that Lasantha’s killing was condemned and condolences were pouring in from all corners of the world.
His death inspires perhaps thousands of journalists working in different countries. Lasantha, we salute your courage, your sense of duty and your inspirational work which inspires your colleagues in Sri Lanka and internationally. And, your heroic death will inspire thousands of journalists for years to come.
