Sindh Governor condoles Pearl’s death with Mariana
KARACHI- Sindh Governor Muhammadmian Soomro and his wife Khadija Soomro, while expressing their heart-felt grief and sorrow over the tragic death of US journalist Daniel Pearl, offered condolences to his widow.
The governor and his wife, who are in Saudi Arabia to perform Haj, conveyed their condolences to Mariana Pearl over telephone.
They described Daniel’s murder an act of terrorism and a savage action and said every person having a conscience is sad over it.
Soomro declared that no effort will be spared for identification of culprits involved to bring them to justice.
The governor said all possible efforts were made for safe recovery of Daniel, but these remained unsuccessful.
Soomro and his wife assured of paying attention to providing all possible facilities to Marina Pearl during his stay in Pakistan, and particularly, taking care of her health.
Marina Pearl thanked Soomro for his constant touch with her to date since the abduction of Daniel.
She also expressed satisfaction over police investigation and performance in the Daniel’s case.
