Safma condemns Chandio’s murder
LAHORE: The South Asian Free Media Association (SAFMA) and South Asia Media Commission (SAMC) are shocked to learn of the murder of Sultan Mehmood Chandio, president of Mirpurkhas Press Club.
Chandio, who works for Sindhi TV channel “Awaz,” was shot dead outside his house. Chandio in past received death threats and informed the then DPO of Mirpurkhas.
Imtiaz Alam, Secretary General SAFMA said that he was saddened by an untimely and brutal death of a colleague. We support and sympathise with the bereaved family and call upon the Chief Minister of Sindh to inquire into the killing and bring the culprits to justice.
