Rally against arrest of journalists
KARACHI, (APP): Local journalists held a demonstration from Karachi Press Club (KPC) to Sindh Governor’s House on Monday to protest the arrest of two journalists in Golarchi, district Badin.
Representatives of Karachi Union of Journalists (both groups), members of KPC and Sindh Journalists Action Committee attended the rally. They raised slogans against the MPA from Golarchi who had falsely implicated journalists Sarwar Jamali and Mehruddin Mari.
The journalists handed over a memorandum to Governor House officials at the main gate of the Governor’s House.
The Secretary General of KUJ, Afzal Baloch and Farukh Saeed of PFUJ (Dastoori Group) assured the members of the journalists’ community of interior Sindh and the rest of the country of their unanimous support in their struggle.
